Welcome to Coastal Range Systems’ latest commitment to enhanced communications with our customers and colleagues. Our customers are adopting many new strategies to maintain their relevance and competitiveness – just as we are. In fact, we see it as our responsibility to keep our associates abreast of the many enabling technologies that are becoming available to support their strategic objectives. With the great pace that information becomes available; we thought a subscription based offering would be an ideal method to disseminate what we feel is newsworthy information to our business partners.
We have asked many of our personnel to make contributions in their fields of knowledge. You can look forward to plenty of information about SAP Business One, including tips and implementation advice on various features that you may not have tried. You will also find discussions surrounding IT best practices, business process, industry trends, business intelligence, portal utilization and more. As this is for you, we will look forward to hearing suggestions for topics you would like us to address.Please send your ideas to rangers@coastalrange.ca .
I would like to say a few words about our corporate plans and direction. We have a quarterly meeting of our corporate and branch executives in which we review our strategic plans in support of our mission, vision, and goals. Some of our high priority current initiatives are:
- Building an enhanced reporting package for SAP Business One based on Crystal Reports to be offered to our customers. As most of you know, SAP purchased Business Objects last year, which is the publisher of Crystal Reports and SAP Business One customers are enjoying increased access to that reporting environment.
- Customer Surveys. We want to know about how customers view our services performance. We have started this initiative with a post implementation survey and there will be others prepared for evaluation of ongoing services and support. So, if you are a customer, don’t be surprised if you get a phone call from us asking for an opportunity to complete one of these surveys with you. We appreciate the time that you will send with us to better understand your needs and expectations.
- Growing our business with product line expansion. I’m pleased to say we have also taken our experience using Microsoft’s SharePoint software into a broader customer community. Most of our customers enjoy access to the limited edition of SharePoint Services which is available as free download for deployment to Windows Server. The scope of uses for this software is very broad. I’m confident that more will be published here on this topic, and we would of course welcome your direct enquiries.
