Providing scalable business management solutions.

VersaFrame

Versaframe Inc. was incorporated in 2005, and in a short time has become a major supplier of metal roofing, metal siding, and wood post frame and steel frame building kits. Their mission and focus has not changed since their incorporation and they provide their customers and contractors a factory direct supply of metal roofing and siding products at the wholesale level price.

It started when 2 Edmonton area entrepreneurs created a marketing concept. This concept called for multiple metal panel roll forming facilities spread throughout Western Canada. The first prototype plant was built just outside of Edmonton in Holden, Alberta. To support the Holden facility, a sales distribution call centre was built in Nisku, Alberta. A coil distribution facility was also created near the Holden facility. With the focus on the agricultural market, the plants were assembled in small town locations to better service the customer base. Over the last 4 years, 10 manufacturing plants have been developed and set up in locations to better serve the rural customers.roof

In 2006 they opened 3 facilities. They are located just outside of Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, as well as near Red Deer, Alberta. The year 2007 saw plants open near Lethbridge, Alberta, and Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. In the fall of 2008, 2 additional plants were opened - one near Fort St. John, British Columbia, to serve the Northern British Columbia and Peace Country region. The other, near Winnipeg, now serves the Manitoba market.

Over the last four years, Versaframe Inc. has added to its prime quality roofing and siding products, a full line of accessories including fasteners, flashings, pipe penetration deck tights, foam closures and installation tools. Their equipment offers the latest innovative technology in the rollforming of metal roofing, metal siding and metal flashings.

Versaframe Inc. has been a Coastal Range client for over three years and uses the SAP Business One solution to manage sales, purchasing, financial and production control. Today Versaframe is integrating their Production Control manufacturing system with SAP Business One to further streamline their operations and support their continued expansion and diversification. Lisa Coward, Office Manager has seen many changes at Versaframe and has experienced first-hand the many issues that arise with rapid growth. Lisa said “Linking Production Orders to Sales with SAP Business One was essential to helping us get operations under control because most of what we do is custom manufactured for our customers when they order it. We don’t have the luxury of manufactured products sitting on the shelf to be sold at a later date. We needed a system that could help us react more quickly and efficiently. Currently we are working with Coastal to encapsulate even more functionality and integration between our manufacturing, sales and our back office to better serve our clients and better support our continuing growth”.
